Hawaii, a member of WICHE, provides students who live in member states the opportunity to receive tuition breaks.

Hawaii participates in three student exchange programs: the Western Undergraduate Exchange, the Professional Student Exchange Program, and the Western Regional Graduate Program. Fourteen states have membership in WICHE, including Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and Guam. The 442nd Veterans Scholarship offers funding to full- or part-time students currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in any area of study.
